Multicultural Quilt

I call this one my multicultural quilt because the pattern started out with using a Chinese Coins design in black white and red (different width strips).  The blocks were not supposed to be the same size, same width but different lengths.  Unfortunately the difference in length was not dramatic enough to pull off the design I was going for, but I still like it.  The yellow sashing added to the red and black brought to mind the German flag (my husband's ancestors are german) so we ended up calling it the Multicultural Quilt.  This was my forth attempt at a quilt, everyone is a learning process and this one taught me a lot more about what not to do!
