Suzanne Marshall is my favorite applique' artist. I copied her Love Birds pattern from here Take Away Applique book. This was the first pattern I have done from her wonderful book. This has been my take along project. It is not quite complete yet, I need to hand embroider the outline detail around the birds. I am creating a baltimore album style quilt for our king size bed. I love Balitmore Album quilts. I have chosen deep rich colors for my soft white background.

your work and the colors you chose are beautiful    this will be a spectacular quilt.  i will look forward to seeing it when it is finished

Really stunning, I love bright colors. Looks like a lot of work went into it.

I love this block.  It has a folk-art look to it.  Very nice.

Gorgeous quilt.  Applique has always intrigued me.  I am starting with big pieces, so it won't be so intimidating.  Just joined Qcoa, still exploring.....
