'Faery Dust'

Inspired by a batik jelly roll and a lovely Faery panel, I thought I'd 'whip up' this crib quilt for entry in the 2010 Texas State Fair. Huge (Faery) appliques, many tiny floral appliques, lots of piecing, total free-motion quilting ... and I got it done in 5 weeks!

But, sadly for me, I didn't read the fine print on the State Fair entry form. So, the night before shipping it off to Fair Park I realized the quilt was ineligible, thanks to incorrect dimensions. Now it will wait for the someday arrival of a grandchild.

at least you have a beautiful quilt  even if you couldn't show it

All that lovely work and no ribbon.  Rats!  Lucky future grandchild though
