My Dad is a huge Crimson Tide fan and I wanted to do something special for his 50th birthday. I started this quilt 3 days before we were due to drive to his house. It was the first time I had ever cut, pieced, quilted and bound an entire quilt, and somehow I managed to do it in 3 days and work full time. I don't think I'll ever be able to do it again.

I know your Dad loved his quilt! You did an outstanding job for your first quilt and in 3 days! WOW!  It's a great quilt! Marlene

Just to follow up, I had done quilt tops previously, but this is the first that I did from beginning to end. It was extremely flawed, but he loves it.

ROLL TIDE!  What a great quilt.  Three days is a record in most anybodies book.  I'm working on an Alabama quilt now for my son.  He graduated from there and we are all fans.  We go to a lot of the games and love 'em.

Flaws or not - a GREAT gift.
