A quilt I made for my great nephew who is a Marine. I took this quilt apart 2 different times because I didn't like it. I'm still not satisfied, but I finally just gave up and finished it as I wanted to get it to him before he was deployed again.

Started this quilt, but ran out of scrap fabric that blended, so turned it into a crib quilt that I will send to a Great (Grand) nephew and his wife who are expecting a baby girl in July.

I just finished the top of a crib quilt after taking the first class on Craftsy of Peggy Martin's paper piecing method. So easy and even though I lost a couple of the points when sewing the blocks and rows together, I really love the result.

This is a quilt I've been calling my ugly Dr. Who quilt. I made this for my British son-in-law who is a real Dr. Who (a British television program) fan. I have no idea what the show is even about as I have never seen it, but it didn't turn out quite as ugly as I thought it would. I'm still not fond of it, however.

Here is my Asian Scrappy Road quilt, the pattern came from Quilter's Word, October 2011. I haven't bound it yet...can't decide what I want to bind it with.

These are the 6 blocks I have completed. The one for today is in the top row center. I still think the "friendship star" is just too plain for this. I'm either going to have to dress it up somehow or replace it altogether with one a little more intricate. What do you think?

A crib blanket I made from scraps/stash...just a spare to keep on hand. One of 3 baby quilts I made this month, but the only one that has been quilted so far. Tried some new quilting designs, but not too happy with the result. Need more practice.

My First Quilt

This the first real quilt I made. I made it for my father's 82nd birthday as a lap quilt to use when watching television in the evenings. As you can see, he put it on the bed and doesn't use it as it was intended. It was machine pieced and stitched in the ditch.

Table topper, 24" X 24"

This is the table topper I just finished for my daughter. She chose black, white and blue as the colors for her dining room. I used all scraps/stash I had on hand, and managed to use a piece of the batting that was a large scrap.

Fussy cut, machine pieced "John Deere" quilt made for 6 year old grandson

This is a quilt I made for my 6-year old grandson. He really, really loves tractors and green is his favorite color, so the John Deere fabric was the perfect fit for him. It is an oversized twin and was fussy cut, machine-pieced and machien quilted. The sashing is made from his Grandpa's old levi's, so it makes it extra special to him.
