Yin Yang, traditional log cabin with red center

I made this log cabin and as it progressed I thought it would be perfect for the grandsons' TaeKwonDo instructor. It has embroidered yin yang dragons in the corners.

Here is my first real attempt at using my embroidery machine for making a label. Still need more practice with it, but it didn't come out too bad.

Pieced and appliqued table topper

My youngest daughter took this picture of the table topper I made for her (I forgot to take a picture of it), and it's kind of dark but maybe you can see what it looks like, She wanted black and white (I added the red because I though it needed something). She is partial to stars so I appliqued a couple on the center block.

This is the table topper I just finished for my daughter. She chose black, white and blue as the colors for her dining room. I used all scraps/stash I had on hand, and managed to use a piece of the batting that was a large scrap.
