This is 68x74...I made it for my best friends daughter (and my god-daughter) for her 13th birthday. She loves books as much as I do, and is just the sweetest young lady. I got the idea for it when I saw some "Harry Potter"" bookshelves, and thought she would like the concept since she loves books so much. The cat is because she has a HUGE orange cat named tiger (always reminds me of Garfield, lol) the window was originally going to be blank but my DH said you have to have something to look at out the window,,,and thus the birdie was born :)

I had alot of fun making this...and it was also my very first attempt at machine quilting which turned out to be way more challenging and difficult than I thought it would be...lol. I think it turned out pretty good though, and Emily loves it, so I guess that's all that matters!

Simplified Storm at Sea Variation

( 82" x 82" ) I made this for my In-Laws for Christmas. Blue is my MIL's favorite colour. It was more challenging than I thought it would... this was my fourth quilt.

They both loved it. MIL cried when she opened it, she is pretty crafty and I guess she realized I had put alot of work into it. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. I ditch quilted around all the white and grey stars and then quilted circles into all the small and large squares.Since I used extra fat batting it really made all the patterns pop :)

Quilt #2 Wide Base Rail

This is my second attempt. The yellow material is actually a lemon/lime shade and matches the walls in our spare room which will be the final destination for this quilt. We recently redid the room and it has Tinkerbell wall decals (it's for my 2 year old niece when she comes over) and the pinks and purples go great with the theme. Hand quilted in the ditch - took awhile but worth the effort.

This was the one from the Quilting workshop I went to with my MIL. It's small and not to difficult, but it was a great experience and got me hooked enough to want to make more :). The scraps were from everyone who attended the workshop taking in a few and mixing them and then sharing them out.
