I really couldn't afford to buy fabric in the dimensions needed - but I threw caution to the wind, bought something just being put out in the fabric store I adored, came home and turned off the AC for three weeks to pay for my purchase. That's my mode of operation - I'm a lizard, have old fashioned high ceilings, huge windows and ceiling fans.

I'm so glad I showed this to my mom. I learned to sew from her mom, but she herself has never had the interest. She loves this quilt and wants it in her house!

Back in the day when I had a part time job, no child, a wonderful husband who cooked, and could afford to buy fabric on a whim. It has been used for the past 10 years as the cover for my office futon sofa. I need a quilting friend to quilt it or teach me how on my little Kenmore!

David's Quilt

At my first ultra sound, two heart beats OR an echo was heard...It was an echo, but I had already started two twin quilts. I'm not much for baby looking things for babies.

But my pregnancy progressed faster than the quilt and the two tops were packed away for about 12 years. When I found them again, I joined the two and finished it by tying it for a special new friend.
