The star and grandmothers flower garden blocks are from my Great-Grandma's collection. I cleaned them up and put this in a quilt for my nephew. The pinwheels are made from modern era reproduction fabrics. The quilting is free motion with my home machine. The embroidery was done by my hand.

Pink/Brown Baby Quilt

This was my latest and biggest project. The pattern was from an Easy Quilts issue. I used free-motion quilting for the first time and really testing the limits of my quilting space, my machine and my talents. There are a few things I would change if I had a time machine - but each project is certainly a learning experience. The receiver of the quilt is a very good friend of mine who is expecting her first child very soon.
