I had traced the hand prints of my friend's daughter and granddaughters and finally had to ask her for her hand print. I told her to ask no questions, but she would find out later. This quilt was the result. At the base of each hand print is a heart with their name and birthdate in machine embroidery. On the back, the label is my hand print. The quilt is machine applique and machine quilted. The fabrics reflects some of my friend's hobbies...fossils, collecting geckos, and her favorite colors.

OSU Buckeyes

My son wanted an OSU Buckeyes quilt for his 3rd son, so I created this quilt. Pattern came from Quilter's World (Oct. 2003), but it was a Halloween wall hanging. I thought it was so cute. So I added some borders, didn't use Halloween fabrics, and put Quinn's birth announcement in the moon. It was a lot of cutting and machine applique, but that is my thing. It is machine quilted with stars. My daughter-in-law loved it!

Scrappy Oopsie Daisy

This is an excellent pattern for using up scraps. The church I made this one for had a stained glass window of Jesus. They asked me to make a banner for their 50th anniversary with the theme "Keep Telling the Story". The design that popped into my head was that stained glass window of Jesus coming out of a Bible. So here is my rendition. It is all machine applique...Jesus is done in watercolor fabrics, which gave it a stained glass effect. The church was very pleased with the final result.
