The original quilter had the 18&quot; squares hand quilted except for the borders, which I completed. I think she might have been starting a quilt as you go quilt, but I&#39;m not sure. I do not know the names of the patterns of the squares. (I have 16 squares total, each with a different pattern.) Barb (our parish nurse) and I thought it would be nice to return the pillows&nbsp;to the original quilter who now has alzheimers. We thought it might be something she could hold onto and hug. This woman was very active in our church and always had a smile for everyone.&nbsp;A lot of love went into the pillows for this special lady. And I got them done just in time for Christmas.</p> <p>I begin Part 2 - a wall hanging.</p>
