Definetely a work in progress! LOL The 100% cotton fabrics and muslin were machine pieced on my Bernina 730E, and I will use that machine to machine quilt this top. The unfinished size is 58" X 74".

Hand Embroideried Umbrella Doll Quilt

Kathy M. It was machined Quilted by Debra Ledbetter of Pulaski, TN. I embroidered the blocks while I was laid up in 2002 from Charcot's which is a diabetes complication. I was not allowed on my feet at all for 3 1/2 months. I knew I would be in the cast so I lined up many projects within reach to work on while I was "down". After the cast from the Charcot's was removed, I was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma on the bottom of my right foot. I had had a brown spot there for 20 years, but I guess the cast "stirred it up" or something and the Melanoma was discovered. I had two surgeries to remove it and Praise the Lord, it has never returned!!
