I made this for a friend from work who was having a baby. She didnt find out if it was a boy or a girl, so I made the animals first and didnt make them gender specific. Once the baby was born and we knew it was a girl, I chose the sashing colour, and worked away non-stop for a week in order to have it ready for the baby shower. Im so happy with how it turned out. (Her name was embroidered by my boyfriend, thats what he does for a living, its quite handy!)

It's 100% cotton and the backing is a soft flannel printed with all the animals in the quilt.

I designed the animals myself, looking at pictures on the internet for inspiration. I kept the actual quilting to a minimum since it was my first one, and I would be giving it away.
