It's turning into a series of quilts, but I love designing with flowers. I made this into a pattern and its on the Craftsy site.

Amelia's Teddies

This quilt is from the book Quilts to make for children by Margaret Rolfe. A friend at work asked me for a quilt for a family member who was expecting a girl soon. This quilt came to mind and she loved it. I was planning on a birthday quilt that was about cars and trucks 'cause he loves those but his sister said it had to be something brighter! he loves to play all the "old" games like ludo and chinese checkers and snakes and ladders. it was a no brainer really. Snakes and ladders is it. The hardest part was working out the pattern and how big to make it. I used cotton fabric, various coloured threads for the applique and invisible thread for the quilting, keeping it simple.

Hickery Dickery Dock

This lovely nursery rhyme wall quilt came from an excellent book from Quiltmania called Special Children 2011. Only downside to the pattern is the metric measuring. Coming from France all the measurements although written in english are metric! All my rulers are feet and inches. Had to get some new rulers. Fun and unexpected patterns can be found in this book.

lovely owls

I love owls and the bright colours of this quilt.
