I also love santa and have many, many santas around the house at Christmas. I modified the santa for applique from an old christmas present tag and simply quilted stars around the background. Really easy and quick to make. The pattern is available on the craftsy website.

Wisteria

I collected all the fabrics in this quilt's background while travelling through the east coast of USA not knowing that they would become a brick wall. I made the brick wall thinking to put graffiti on it, something wild and urban, but I saw my wisteria flowering on my verandah and wisteria wall it became. Sometimes i think quilts make themselves! All the fabrics are 100% cotton, raw edged appliqued on my machine (for the first time!), various threads and the wadding is a thin iron on type I wanted to try.

Life's a game

My grandson Joshua loves games. I was planning on a birthday quilt that was about cars and trucks 'cause he loves those but his sister said it had to be something brighter! he loves to play all the "old" games like ludo and chinese checkers and snakes and ladders. it was a no brainer really. Snakes and ladders is it. The hardest part was working out the pattern and how big to make it. I used cotton fabric, various coloured threads for the applique and invisible thread for the quilting, keeping it simple.

Advent church banner

I made this in St Anthony, Newfoundland for our church advent preparation for Christmas.
