I thought it had to be Australian so I used a pattern from Helen Godden (which can be found in Australian Quilters Companion no 46). I made the pattern bigger and added some different elements. I quilted the river through the middle and the swans around the border as well as some eucalyptus leaves. Now its Western Australian! I made the brick wall thinking to put graffiti on it, something wild and urban, but I saw my wisteria flowering on my verandah and wisteria wall it became. Sometimes i think quilts make themselves!
