Spin Cycle

FInally got Spin Cycle quilted and bound! Tried quilting in a spiral for the first time. Learned a lot and will use spiral quilting again. Also tried gluing the binding to keep in in place while machine stitching it. Very happy with the result, and the glue washed right out. Finished size after washing: 43 X 49 inches. The sixteen 5 inch square blocks were improvisational pieced using scraps of solid colors. Additional scraps were used for the border. This lap quilt will be donated to the Alzheimer's Diease Cooperative Study, UCLA-San Diego.

Lap quilt done as a Mystery Quilt project from pattern by Weeks Ringle and Bill Kerr. Completed January 1, 2013. Donated to Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Research project at UCLA-San Diego.
