Used the quilt-as-you-go technique to avoid trying to handle quilting the entire quilt on my little DSM. Quilted each 'shelf' unit', then assembled them into one large unit. Added the side borders (side of bookcase and background) to the completed shelf unit, and then quilted the border. Then added the top border (top of bookcase and background) and quilted it. Same with the bottom border. This worked very well for me. SO glad it is finally finished!
