Wonky eight-point stars mixed with wonky four-point stars. Just had to use the backing fabric with old military planes from all the services branches for this quilt.

Tried two techniques new to me: straight-line quilting and facing binding. Was very happy with the way both turned out! Used a mottled tan flannel for the backing, and thin cotton batting. This will be a donation quilt for a man in an Alzheimer's care center.
