Magic side 2 nephews

This side is not just a pieced backing, but an entire quilt. it is thick and heavy enough it could be a area rug. I tried to make this quilt with a young person in mind and creating it brought many challenges and teckniques to my quilting. i went outside of my norm in quilting this one. I hope you enjoy looking at it.

This is for my nephew. It took me a long time from start to completion. My free motion doesn't show to well but there are motifs on the blocks. I designed this with the aid of eq7 and Quilting Motifs vol.8.

This is my mq8 I made mistakes in cutting hsq thus the size was off which added to my puckers but even with all the imperfection I love how it came out . Hope you do too.

Change in plans was going to crochet overlay for this block now i'm tempted to trash block . I used some tiny HST from MQ6 . The center absorbed the most wrinkles after assembly. What would you do with block?

This was first quilt kit I ever purchased. I wasn't able to find setting kit. Had trouble with a couple blocks not coming out right size, and did some sloppy applique so I hand stitched ribbon around a heart. The kit is "Heartland Quilt" bought from Joann's.

This is my 3 month later baby quilt that I've been talking about. I used some hst from mq6. I also used polyester batting which made alot more puckers. I don't think I'll use that again it was hard to control. The pic probably will not show good.

Today i finished the crooked panel quilt. Showed my dh & son my son said he thought it was the best quilt i've made ! The pic looks washed out so itook another shot closer . The border is done with the cross hatching. This is from Susan Winget fabric .

This wall hanging or table topper has been many years in the process of making. I was replicating a 2' image that i seen on a cover of Quilt in '95. I waited til I seen

orange with white dot fabric at my LQS then I misplaced the magazine years later around the time I joined QCA I found mag then i wanted yellow tulips after locating the fabric

it was the wrong tone. I can say i'm glad this one is done i can move on to my next project probably mq6 and some of my bom kits.
