The earth is coming apart! The volcanos are all spewing lava,and it runs down the mountainsides, clearing everything in its way. New entities rise from the lava, and take wing through the skies, spinning their way through the universe creating what??

This art quilt is one of my favorites, featuring paper pieced Mariners Compasses, and appliqued volcanos. It's made of 100% cotton fabrics, and stitched with a clear nylon thread.

This Is My First applique project, I had fun making this one, and learned a lot at the same time.

It measures 47"x 50" , And I thought I was supposed to press the edges under and stitch them down. so that's how I did the Mountains and balloons.

Then I was introduced to a new applique product that made the whole job easier.

This is the final version of this quilt,
