I just finished this quilt. It is for a guild challenge. The challenge was to use the 2 different black with white dot fabrics in a baby quilt. This is the pattern I came up with. I think it is the best quilt I have made to date. It may end up a wall hanging in my living room. LOL

This is my first attempt at English paper piecing. I needed a project that I could do while at work and thought I would try it out. I love it, and am quite pleased with the way it turned out. I am currently making a partner to this one. I use charms left over from another quilt I made and a charm pack I bought on clearance somewhere. I think English paper piecing will be a staple with me now.

Matching Bibs

These are the bibs I made out of the left over fabric from my grandbaby's quilt. If you don't look at the binding they aren't bad. lol

I don't think a baby will care though lol

Grandbaby Quilt

I made this quilt using the accuquilt apple core die and critters die. It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. This is going to my future grandchild who is due at the end of September. I also made a couple of bibs out of this material and am going to make some burp cloths before I send it off. It is also the first quilt I got to use with my new stitch regulator .... It worked awesomely. I think the Grace Frame has made my life exponentially easier, and my quilting 1000% better.

Potholder #1 for Brother's Girlfriend

This is one of two potholders I made for my brother's girlfriend. She loves purple, thus the purple overload. LOL I got to play with my new accuquilt go the heart in both potholders is cut with the one of the dies and the machine embroidery is one that went with the die. It's a little busy for my taste, but it is right up the alley of the woman who is getting it. :-)

Julio's Quilt

This quilt is the most special one I have made yet. I made it for my terminally ill nephew. He has since passed away. We called him sunshine and his smile and laugh was infectious. That is why I chose the design and the material has little smile face suns on it. I stitched in the ditch to quilt it and went around the J appliques. This may be the nicest quilt I have made to date. I had no idea how to applique so I cut the J out serged around the edges and sewed them to the top.

Quilt Block For My Brother's Quilt

I am excited to see this finished. It is a block for a quilt I am making for my brother. The block is called "Horizon". I got it out of Quiltmakers 100 blocks vol 3.

Second Tied Rail Fence

This quilt I made for my youngest son for Christmas 2010. If you make for one you have to make for the other. I didn't have anywhere near as much trouble figuring this one out, but I was still way too intimidated to try anything other than tying. I do have to give much props to my husband for helping me tie both this quilt, the quilt for my other son and even the quilt I made him that year. LOL

This is the first quilt I ever made. It was for my oldest son (by request) for Christmas 2010. I spent 2 months figuring out how to piece it and tie it. LOL I was way too afraid to actually attempt machine or even hand quilting.
