The palm leaves were ponced from real palms. They are free motion quilted in purple

to add texture but not detract from the window.

This quilt has taken me about 18 months to make after the idea swished around in my head for a few years. The window is digitized, appliqued and embroidered. Around that is my rendition of the street scene of the Via Dolorosa in the form of quilt lines. on either side I quilted palm leaves from palms in my yard as patterns. I absolutely loved making this quilt.

Poet Quilt

This is a quilt that I digitized and quilted to honor my husband. I let him choose the poets and their poetry that would be around him on his quilt. (He is in the second row.) I digitized his picture from his driver's license. It was fun to gather the pictures, poems and their autographs to make this quilt. I also gained great respect for their poetry of these great poets . .
