Haven't quilted in a while, but I finally cleaned up my junk room and now Ganny has her Toy room back. So I'm finishing an unfinished project. My Aunt who taught me to quilt gave me these six panels, so I crossed stitched them probably 5 years ago and never knew what to do with them. So now that I have my room back, I decided to do something with it. However I have a question. I traced the designs using pencil (very lightly) cause that's how my Aunt always did them. The question is , what is the best thing to use to remove them once I've finished the quilt. Since it's all hand done I don't want to lighten up the threads.

Hand Quilted, Hand Stitched, Granny's Quilt

I made this quilt for my daughter who will probably never get married. So I called it "Something Old, Something New, Somtthing Borrowed, But no Blue" Quilt. I love reusing old Clothes and pieces. She is now 29 and some of the fabric is from her clothes when she was in her teens, and some was from my high school dress's. I did have to buy some new fabric. I had always wanted to make one of these since I was 18, so now that I'm retired, I can sit and sew. Took me 9 months to finish doing about 1-3 hours a day.
