seaside escape

For this block I used two differernt methods . First I took two of the photos from our trip . One of the Timalock light house off the cost of Oregon, and the other of a cute family I saw walking their dogs down Canon Beach in Oregon. I used Paint.NET to merge the two photos together. I took that photo and printed it onto a piece of muslin.

One of my favorite quilting methods is attic windows. So I encased the photo so that it would look like you were looking out a window onto the beach.

For this block I chose to use a coloring page. I found the coloring page on the internet, printed it onto the paper side of the Freezer paper, ironed it to a piece of muslin and colored the picture with crayons. them set it with the iron. I have made several wall hanging using this method and it is fun. The drawing itself is copywrited.

This is a photo block. I loaded two pictures into the EQ program and used the new serendipity function to create the stars.

I printed the four stares on photo fabric ,cut each star block out, sewed them together to make a four patch and put a small border aroud them.
