Originally the fairy was nude, but her father had a fit so I had to fashion her a dress. The moon started out the same color as her skin, but the night sky bled something terrible when I painted the moon-glow on it. He had been a Heuy pilot during hte Vietnam war. His great pleasure in life was fly fishing, so I combined his interests into this lap quilt. I mailed it to my aunt, only to learn that he died 2 days after recieving it.&nbsp; I regret that I didn&#39;t sew faster.I don&#39;t know if he ever even saw it... but his family displayed it on the pulpit during his funeral and my cousins all swear that when they think of their father, the image I made is what they feel.&nbsp; I guess I didn&#39;t fail completely if it brings them comfort.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Edit: I had originally typed &quot;He died 2 days before his death&quot;.... now how&nbsp;anyone could manage that is beyond me! That&#39;s what I get for trying to write while the kids are jabbering at me. LOL Oh well..it&#39;s fixed now.&nbsp; *Blush*</p>
