She'd found the metalic print at a quilt show and had to have it. It took me a while to put it to use, and while it was a wonderful springboard for color options in this quilt, I hated to use it for the background. I backed it with bright pink flannel. DD loves it and takes it along to her sleep overs, road trips and outdoor games.

Dragon Star

I did this Lonestar (sometimes called Morning Star) for my DS1 a couple of years ago. He picked out a funky dragon print and asked me to make him a "Firey" quilt. I'd just finished making his sister's Lonestar, so I made his with the same pattern. I added flame appliques and a stary sky print on the inner border. It's backed with bright green flannel.
