Best Friends

My friend often gives me a small kit for a gift. it's the best kind of gift ever. First I get to enjoy the fabric, next I have fun making it and last I have a completed beautiful item. I was going to send it back to my friend all finished, but I changed my mind, it's so cute. It's not very big, about 9X12. I'm thinking it would look great hanging on a door knob to hold what??? I could carry my iPad in it, but I don't usually travel with it and I already have a very nice leather bag that holds both my computer and iPad.

It's just so-o nice. I think I'll enlarge the pattern and square the bottom so it will hold more. Gosh, I must have a bit of neat colors of fabric that would fit the bill. Now I will cross off one from my "to do" list. Just six more to go!

Chocolate Homemade

I found two cotton hand towels with cute sayings machine embroidered on them at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant. I was sure a unique chocolate quilt could be made using them. And so I began to plan and shop for fabrics to make myself a chocolate quilt.

A bit of leftover squares and scraps for the lining makes a handy little tote for tons of uses. They make wonderful gift bags, project totes, totes for kids, mom's, and even decorations. Make them with large blocks or small; add a row or two and they're good for carrying magazines or bigger projects. Little girls loves them and so do the bigger ones.
