This is another Patrick Lose pattern, from his Blocks for All Seasons line. His was done in reds and pinks, but I couldn't resist doing a Pittsburgh twist on the colors. It is approx. 12x12".

Flower Garden

I made this quilt for an older lady at our church. I designed it in EQ7 and quilted it on my longarm. My longarm is not behaving properly (it will race at times; other times it will make a few really long stitches; need to call the service tech), so I actually ended up stitching around the appliques with my sewing machine. I'm hoping she doesn't find all my boo-boos. :-D

VW Bug pillow

Irish dance dress - front

This is an Irish dance dress that I made for my daughter in 2004 so that she could compete in Irish dance competitions (feisanna). It is also where I learned to satin stitch my appliques! It took hours and hours to make this dress. It is a very heavy dress and the front panel is stiffened with super heavy-duty Pellon interfacing.

This is where I learned how to satin stitch appliques! This is the back of the Irish dance dress that I made for my daughter back in 2004. It took hours and hours and hours to make. The dress is very heavy and stiff (intentionally). The cape is removable and is attached with heavy-duty velcro.

Artist Cat Pillow

This is a design by Amy Bradley (pattern title, "Mona"). I made the small quilt into a 12"x16" pillow for my artist friend, who loves cats. The fused appliqued pieces were blanket stitched and the design details were done with a satin stitch.

Patriotic Tablerunner

With all the snow we've had, I needed to make something to remind me of summer, so I made this Patriotic Tablerunner. It is a Patrick Lose design and I think it measures about 43"x14". It is machine appliqued, stars are fused and blanket stitched, and it was quilted on my Tin Lizzie longarm. The quilting is a freehand stars and loops pattern.

Patti's Walk for Life Banner

Our church women's group made this banner to carry in a Walk for Life fundraiser in October 2006. The center section (the baby) is a Patrick Lose pattern. The pregnant woman and the toddler were original designs. The woman has real beads for her necklace and her bracelet and the toddler's hair is 3-D.
