Kim, Great Design, the 'ugly' became the bright spot in your quilt!
Kim - I like the quilt, especially the shadow effect/contrast.
Very pretty Kim - love the diagonal movement in it. Good job!

Kim Z: I have to admit that I like the result.
I like it too Kim.
Kim - I like the result. the "ugly" compliments well but doesn't overpower.

Jeanine,
I love the bright colors in your quilt. I would never have tried the blue but it looks great!

Kim, beautiful finished quilt. Great use of both of your uglies.
Thanks everyone for your comments. I really enjoyed the challenge and I love everyone's quilt. I can't yet pick a favorite.
I had sort of forgotten that all of you ladies were working on "ugly fabric" quilts. I just got home from a guild meeting and we had an "Ugly Fabric Quilt Show". We had 17 entries and it was amazing what the ladies did with their ugly fabric. The winner got a certificate for a free class, and she was given an "ugly fabric" cape and dubbed Ugly Fabric Queen. One of her responsibilities as queen is to organize next year's contest. It was a lot of fun and a lot of laughs.
That reminded me there was a contest going on QCA so I came home to check up on ya'll. It is almost unbelievable that you could take that less than desirable fabric and make such beautiful quilts. You are an amazing bunch of ladies! I didn't see an ugly quilt in the bunch.
Finished my quilt top this weekend! I think it came out well, but it just didn't want to be a rectangle, no matter what I did, so it measures 55X55. Its called Hugs and Kisses for Brian. His birthday is at Thanksgiving which is probably when I will actually be done quilting it! Can't wait to see the rest of them! Colors in photo are odd though, the orange and light green are nicer than they appear here. I might try a better picture for the Gallery!
