Very nice, Melinda.  I like the black stripe next to the ugly.  It draws your eye away from the ugly and pushes it into the background.

Thank you and I was hoping the black fabric would do that and the other oranges drown out the orange in the ugly fabric

Just kidding, it's amazing how some fabric I thought was hiddeous  can become part of a great quilt. My 9 yr old has already claimed this as his quilt (he loves black)

Definitely  out of my normal color palette but when finished I liked it.

I wasn't sure mine would turn out big enough but it finished at 55x55. 

Looking forward to seeing more of yours!

Beth,

This is tremendous.  I wouldn't have thought using white could be as striking as those that used black, but I was wrong.
