That is so nice Kris. It will be great to get it done.

Everyone has some great quilts to work on this month. I look forward to show and tell later this month when they are done!
I'm getting a slow start this month, more than a week has already gone by.
Here's my first project for this month, made last Aug, I took it to the Leavenworth retreat in October with the fabric for the binding but never got to it then.
And now it's March and here it sits, still waiting for that binding!
And I hope to quilt and bind my DD quilt top - my UFO project for the last 2 months.
Patti: That is so nice Kris. It will be great to get it done.
Thanks Patti.
Here are the pillow shams that go to the quilt I finished for my bed.
each one measures 36X21. The tops were made two years ago. I had to machine quilt each sham. Then I made the split casings for the back and sewed them together and put the pillows inside them. The bed is now complete.
This is the before picture. They are sandwiched and ready to quilt.
here they are completed
here they are on the bed.
Pretty ensemble Wendy.
Wendy, beautiful quilt and shams, great work!

Remember MQ2? Well I am finally quilting it today. I really needed more contrast in the values of the fabrics. It's hard to see the stars with the fabrics being the same value, even though the colors contrast. Here it is.
Patti,
It's pretty. I can see the stars when I focus on the pink.
I used similar colours for my MQ2. It was outside my normal choices. It was a UFO from the start. I gave the top away.
Patti:I really needed more contrast in the values of the fabrics.
Love your colors Patti. I finished my MQ2 about 6 months after -- I made the same mistake with the values, and my stars are really difficult to see. I loved the pattern and will make it again. It will be easy to fix the value mistake. I think??????!
A bed without a quilt is like a sky without stars.

My "Boxy Stars is complete. I used Cuddle fabric for the back. I couldn't find the fabric I planned to use for binding so I used some of the cuddle fabric. Boy was that a pain trying to cut 2 inch strips.
It's washed and ready for use. It measures 60 x 68.
Jacy, Kris, Wendy. Such beautiful quilts, (and pillow shams). So what took us so long?
Here is my MQ2 complete, with the minky back. I think the close up may show the color better.
Beautiful UFO's this month!
WTG Patti,
I love your quilt and the backing is perfect for it.
Wendy, great pillow shams, now you have the complete bed set and that UFO is done, way to go.
Kris, yeah, another UFO quilted and ready for use or gift giving, what are you going to do with this one?
Patti, I love your minkie backing, that will be such a warm and comfy quilt, I'd keep it too.
Here's my UFO's completed. I couldn't get a photo of the whole quilt, my design wall is full at the moment, but the close up hopefully shows the quilting.
First one for my DD, this one gave me a lot of trouble when quilting, but I persevered, it took 4 days but I got her done!
And this one was a easy one, just needed the binding. I'm going to hang this one on the wall.
