Yaaaa Hoooo!! Just put in the last stitches for my February UFO and it's not even two minutes before midnight on the east coast. See when I looked for the fabric to finish it I also found some scraps of the same material to play with. That meant finding a pattern to use up those scraps and then to sew it together. So that took up all my weekend but I didn't want to let another month go by without finishing a project.
Jacy, Kris, Nina and Wendy all your UFO projects are super wonderful. I wish I could say I've been as productive as you but I just put on the final border for my MQ 6. The borders are a little wavy even though I measured each border and squared them up each time. I think the quilting will hide most of it. The size is 102.5 x 85.5. The close up of the corner is more true to the colors on the fabric, Twirl by Two Sisters. I'm planning a turquoise binding. Oh and you get to see my new kitchen floor too as an added bonus. LOL.
Mimi - This is a wonderful quilt. Love the borders - The butterfly print makes it all pop. A really great finishing touch.
Very pretty quilt Mimi, looks like fun. The colors are great and a tourquois binding will make the colors pop even more.
Nina, your sodoku quilt is great. I have never seen one of those before, but like I said, I have been away from the quilt world for a while.
Jacy, wow! your quilt turned out great. I, too would like the name of the pattern. I'm sure you have already posted it. I will have to go back through the last couple of months postings and see if I can find it. Did you pick out the fabrics or is it a fabric collection for all those blues and greens? I'm sure your daughter will treasure this for years to come.

Some very beautiful complete quilts this month! Mimi, Nina, Jacy, Kris, and Wendy. And the winner is. . . . . . . .. .JACY!
I've got your address, so expect a package sometime this week.
For those of you who have not contributed yet, don't worry about it. We've had some generous donors and we have enough for several months. Please don't send anything unless I post that more is needed
Congratulations Jacy. You so deserve it. Lovely lovely quilt. WTG
Patti did we have a January winner? I missed it.
Never mind, I found it. Congratulations Angele.
Thanks Kris. I really like the fancy quilting you did on your quilt this month. Great job.
NinaK: Love the borders
Thanks NinaK. I really like the borders too. They were a little more complicated than I usually work on but now I think it was worth the effort.
Star:looks like fun
It was fun Star. Thanks for taking the time to encourage me. It means a lot.
yes, the winner in January was Angele.
keep up the good work. We will have a drawing each month. And at month 6 we will draw from those who have finished a quilt every month. If no one does this, may just have to pick from those who finish the most so far for that extra drawing.
I didn't finish mine. Hope to get two done this month. We shall see.
Congrats to both Angele and Jacy! WTG. So many very pretty quilts.
