Thank you. I just took the craftsy course with cindy it was awesome. She responded to everyone's questions even with holidays within 2 days. I learned so much from her. It is not really fmq but it does cover a lot of quilting techniques for the finished quilts.

My UFO for January will be Boxy Stars. I haven't worked on this quilt since the Scrap Happys group finished up with it, so a couple years I think. All the blocks are done and I had started sewing it together. It should be a queen sized quilt when I finish, but I'll have to post the final size when I'm done cause I lost the paper that had my calculations on it. I'm still working on finishing a king sized quilt for my niece that has to be done before I can start on Boxy Stars, then I'll be off and running.

This has been a long on going project and will probably be the only one I get finished for this challenge, but if I finish it I'll be excited beyond believe.   This is a Grandma's Flower that I started I've lost count how many years ago, for my daughter.    She had to be at least 16 and she is now 21.  I would really like to finish it to cover her bed.  So that's my goal for January and probably way beyond.

.

Right Side                                                                                                     Left Side

Completed will be the sizes of a double bed.

Sabrina, I have this quilt also in my UFO pile.  I can't even remember if I finished sewing the blocks together.  I'll have to take a look.  Yours is very pretty, love the fabrics, the sashing and the corner stones, very nice.

Robin, what a treasure this will be for your daughter.  I know you will finish it, wish I could be there when you give it to her, there will be tears, I'm sure.

Thank you Marie and Linny.

I'm just a little sorry I haven't already finished it.  She is one of the first people who ever had faith in me that I could quilt anything.

Patti -  I definitely want to be in the UFO group this year -sorry for not posting sooner.  I would like to finish up the Craftsy BOM from 2012.  I have blocks done through June and had printed off the other ones except for August and just got that one printed. If this would qualify, I will post pictures of the finished blocks and remaining fabric.  Let me know, please.  Thanks.  I think the idea of fat quarters for prizes is great.  I hope lots of UFO's bite the dust this year.

I'm slow getting going on my UFO. This is a quilt for my daughter, started sometime in 2011. I worked on it a little at the Leavenworth retreat but it required to much "brain power", late nights and lots of laughter meant I didn't make much progress there!

Jacy, how many different fabrics in this quilt besides the black?  Would you share the name of the pattern?

Marie, this calls for 14 different neutrals, I think you could make it with a little less or more variety. Here's a photo of the original quilt "Entwined", and a photo of the book it's from.

Jacy, that Entwined quilt looks like fun, your daughter will love it.

I am posting an after picture of the pinwheel crib quilt. It is finished and crossed off the list. 1 down, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22? to go. I have 13 left on my official list, but am sure there are more lurking somewhere. As I said before, I know this little quilt will not count, but it is a UFO that is finally finished.

Happy Quilting!

Thanks Jacy, this needs to go on my to do list.  I love the movement I see in "Entwined".
