Mimi - I love your snail trail quilt! What a lot of work
I love everyone's finished UFOs.....they are all gorgeous - makes me want to start MORE new projects (as if I don't have enough on the go)
Pat:What a lot of work
Yes it was but also totally worth it. My DH says I should enter it in a show. IMHO It's not that good. but it's mine.
The problem with entering it in a show is you have to prove you didn't copy anyone else's work. With so many patterns out there we can't possibly view them all or buy them we can never be sure. But it is beautiful maybe a local show ;) Well is a snails trail past the copyright date I dont have a clue lol it could be. In which case it is open to everyone to use.
Woo Hoo....I have finished quilting and binding Sylvia's Bridal Sampler. Machine pieced, hand applique and Hand Quilted. This is my first large quilt that I have hand quilted. I think it turned out pretty good. It measures 86 x 93

Thanks Marilyn and Kris.

The snail's trail block pattern is as old as dirt....LOL> It is also known as Virginia Reel and monkey wrench.
Nana,
What a lovely quilt. And hand quilted to boot. You certainly set the bar very high. Do you ever do anything smaller?
Here's the one I completed just this week It seemed tiny compared to Happy Trails, only 60 x 74. It's name is Autumn at the Cabin. Hope to start quilting some of these tops soon.
Thanks Patti for sponsoring the challenge. It really motivated me. I think 5 quilt tops in three months is pretty good especially since I hold down a full time job. Great job everyone. Keep finishing those UFO's.
Nana, a small quilt for you! But I'm still impressed that you hand quilted such a large quilt.
Mimi, great job, you got one more quilt top done. Did you sew all day?
I was busy today too. My kids are out on spring break so it's a lot harder to find time to sew this week. I was determined to get this scrappy quilt quilted by the deadline and it looks like I had 5 hrs to spare. Guess I could have sewn that binding a little slower!
62x93"
