That is beautiful Gini. Congrats on finishing
WTG Gini. Love your boxy stars.
I love your quilt, Gini. I'm a big fan of scrap quilts
I actually got something finished, but it doesn't qualify for the UFO Challenge because I started it in February (panic gift for a friend's birthday) But they are done....now back to the rest of the pile of UFO's
Gini, your quilt came out lovely, as usual. And Pat, I love the rich reds in the place mats. Very elegant.
thanks everyone, pat beautiful placemats, they're in my colors too. gini

Hi, it's been awhile since I wrote here and that's because I didn't finish a UFO until today. My first UFO, YEA!!!!!!
Gini I keep forgetting that I have to come to groups to read what's going on. Love your finished Boxy Stars! This is one I need to finish also.
if you subscribe to the group you will get the emails for that group's discussions.
Congratulations Marie! Looks great.
Looks great, Marie! Good for you!
YAY!!! The area around the hot tub is finally clear of snow, and it was warm enough today to get outside and baste a quilt!!!
I love using the hot tub with the cover on for basting quilts - it's big enough for a king sized quilt, and it's high enough that my back isn't screaming at me when I'm basting. Of course, I have "help" in the form of the cat who HAS to be right in the middle of any quilt :)
Well girls and guys ----- I have a confession to make. I've put aside the Meet me in Paris quilt, to make a baby quilt for a friend. I finished it - - shock to my system to have actually finished something. Don't like the pattern, but do like the quilt. Too many triangles. I always fight getting them sewn without stretching the bias edge.
Since I have one more quilting day here in the beautiful south before I head back to the windy, cold north, I got out another UFO for tomorrows quilting day.
I've been looking at how I'm going to pack everything to get it home, and decided that my shopping spree for baby flannel was so out of hand that I'm leaving it all here for next winter.
Happy Quilting everyone!
A bed without a quilt is like a sky without stars.

I actually got a quilt finished!! One of my "before Christmas" UFO's, and it has been delivered to the baby (baby's now 2 months old, but this is better than my last baby quilt - baby was 3 when he finally got it LOL)
There are photographs in the quilt of baby's family. I've blurred them out so that they're not recognizable, but the general idea of the quilt is there
nice job on the quilt, pat.
