IDec. 8, 2012 Rick just called me in tears. He just received the quilt and he said it's so beautiful. He's never seen a quilt or imagined a quilt so beautiful. His new cat is enjoying it too. He said to say thank you to all the girls who worked on it. He's amazed at the beautiful work. Rick is a very sentimental guy. He loves the quilt and thanks you all. I thank you for making my brother so happy.
t's my memories of my trip to my brother's the week of 4th of July 2011. I loved hanging around his house. He lives across the street from Lake Winnebago. He's built 2 ponds in his yard. The bird house fascinated me...it was a full house!! I loved riding around in his "fun" truck. I didn't even add the lawn mower that he had made look like Grandpa's Ford tractor!!!! Visiting my niece and her family was fun. Shelby has the cutest Victorian house. That little Ethan I wanted to bring home with me. He's so cute.So the quilt is the result of my week long trip to visit my brother in Wisconsin. I love the tire swing, the blanket and picnic basket and kitty. You girls did a wonderful job. Thank you so very much. I know Rick and Susan will love it.
from Candis: I need to add that Linda had to drop out of the Robin in the 3 rd round. The tire swing and trees and little stamp quilt and outside lake , and the small flying geese were done by Mindy. Some were Linda's pieces she had included. Some were ones Mindy did on her own to compliment the quilt, wonderful job, she actually did two borders!! I did the patchwork border. Unfortunately Melody and Kristie did not have the opportunity to work on this top. I just want Mindy to know she did a beautiful job!! Opps forgot to add Melody did get to add the kitty, sorry Melody!!
