Erin:

Well, I managed to get a lot more done today on the border than I expected to .I'm really excited that my original idea is working out.  :D

The Nat'l Guard let Doug come home tonight because it's snowed all day (about 4 inches) and he didn't want me to have to take care of outside dogs, pack in wood and shovel. He has to be back at the armory by 8 AM tomorrow. He has about a 30 mile drive and i don't like that but I do appreciate him coming home so I didn't have to deal with all that myself. They are calling for about 2 more inches of snow, but we are on the "snow line" so we may or may not get any more. I am hoping for not.

Well, I'm off to spend some time with DH before he goes to bed...

Erin,

I am sure that you are tired of the snow but I would love for you to send some this way.  We could have worn shorts for most of Jan!  I hate the weather here, wish I could see snow sometime but I am sure if you live with it all the time, it gets old too.

I am working on KimSue's top.  Had a plan but then after it was added to,  my plan just would not work out so had to rethink it.  I am very happy with what I have come up with and hope she will be too.  This top will be for her son, which means no flowers or filly stuff.  Do you know how many fabrics have flowers or frilly stuff!!!

Hope everyone is having as much fun as I am with this RR.

I hear you Pamela. I just got a picture of the top headed my way and was so glad I hadn't spent time coming up with a plan. It would have been tossed out the window.  LOL I'm so glad she sent me a picture so I can ponder it.  The challenge comes from building on what the person before you did (and it is beautiful Zsofia, I just wasn't expecting it). That's the fun, the surprise!

Pamela- where do you live? Maybe we can swap houses for a couple of months in the winter..... from maybe like  January 1- March 15th?? LOL   I grew up in Michigan and loved the snow when I was a kid, but I do despise it now and we really have not had that much this year. Actually, I  think it's more the cold I hate than the snow!

We had a dusting of snow last night, just enough to remind us we are still in winter, at some point I will be moving to warmer weather, I will not miss the aches & pains that go along with this cold weather!!   I will just miss my people!

Sue, your border is finished just waiting for the PO to open then it will be off to Candace!

Have you sent Melissa's top to me yet, I can't wait to see what you have done!

Happy Quilting!

Team 7

Kristin, I just finished my planning for your quilt in EQ7 and I'm pretty excited about it.  :)  I have to say your  block has proved to be a very interesting one to work with...  There are so many elements for us to play with.  I think it's going to be really cool when it's done.  :)

Fabric shopping maybe tomorrow - superbowl tonight!

"Isn't the Audubon Quilt just gorgeous? I have signed up for it, too. I think the FMQ on it is spectacular. I know mine won't compare, but I am going to do my best. "

OK, not sure I've seen the quilt you all are abuzz about.  Can someone post a picture so I know I'm looking at the right one?

Erin,

I live in the deep south of Louisiana. Have been here all my live and hate it here.  Always hot and humid with plenty of bugs.  Would love to move to the mountains but cannot seem to talk DH into it YET!  The only thing I LOVE here is the food.

So I spent the weekend indoors. Quilted a bit, finished up some embroidery, and started knitting a baby blanket. I guess maybe I should have turned the radio on for background noise or something....woke up this morning to a major storm system blowing through, and had no idea it was coming.  Had to shovel out a small corner of the yard for the dog to go pee-pee (he's only little so the snow quickly gets taller than he is) Glad we have 4W drive on the truck or we wouldn't have made it out of the yard to go to work this morning...because in addition to the snow fall we had the snow plow go by putting a huge bank at the end of the driveway...

sigh.

I really dislike winter... the only ones happy about it is the children...all schools in the area have been closed.

Wow StefiKay, I had to google where you live. You're way up there! This is what I saw when I looked out my window this morning.

Ginny, your yard appears to be just as confused as mine right now.  :)   I snapped this a few days ago...  Springtime will be here before we know it.
