I am so sorry. I had given DH the package to mail for me. I found it today still in his car. He had forgotten. I am so very very sorry. I am not sure if I will be able to get to the post office tomorrow or not but I will definitely be able to get there on Fri. Again please forgive me....I am so sorry that this happened.

LaShawn, Nana has posted a few times in the Appliqué Group. I know she is now working on my last border and thankful it is the last RR quilt. LOL. If she is working on mine I'd say she put yours in the mail because she only works on one at a time. I'll see if I can't get her to respond in the appliqué group and let you know.

Anyone heard from Nana, She stated on May 13th she had finished my top and hoped to put it in the mail the next day. She hasn't responded to my post from a few days ago. I hope everything is ok.

we have seriously talked about moving to Alaska! Hahaha I also hit a snag this weekend. I'm doing the last border (block I've never done before and enlarged it) but when I got to the corner blocks I couldn't get it to align. POOH!!! So I walked away for two days and today at work the solution to my math deficiencies came to me. I'm going to cheat!!! HAHAHA if there is a will there is a way. ;-). It just means a slight delay in finishing. Okay, another slight delay but I should have time this weekend to getter done. :-D

Well, darn it anyway. Christine--I had your top done, with what I thought would be lovely mitered corners. BUT! When I looked at it, they were horrible! So I had to cut them out. I have an alternative, but didn't have the energy to put them on last night. It was almost 90 degrees in my apartment and the sweat was rolling off my poor head when I wasn't moving. So I relocated myself to the spot in front of the fan and refused to move until my air conditioner kicked in enough to make it tolerable. Ugh...I really dislike the warm/hot summer weather. I may just have to move to Alaska, like I keep threatening my kids. Is it generally cold up there? LIke, not gettng above 70 degrees? That's my dream temp.

Kristin--I can't wait to see Carolyn's top!

Your quilt went up on the design wall today. Wow is all I can say. Everyone has done an amazing job on it so far. Now if I can just come up with a last border for it......

Nana, I'm really excited about it. LOL. Yours is at the machine and I'm working on it a little at a time. I have all the pieced blocks done so its just a matter of putting it together. I'm loving it. Don't worry about any time-frame on mine. I know that spring/summer brings lots of other activities. Of course the nice weather has hit and between motorcycle riding with DH, DH switching from nights to days for the summer; there goes my evening time for quilting, yard work, spring house cleaning, moving winter clothes to spare closet and sorting through summer clothes, starting repairs/remodel on the house, canning (yes already started), and hand appliqué I'm a little overwhelmed. I'm glad we aren't doing a RR this summer. It will give me time to come up with something new and spend more time on the Appliqué Group, which I'm fast becoming re-addicted to. (Anyone think that was a run on sentence? ROTFLMAO)

Hey Linda--that sounds like FUN! I read an article in my Quilting Arts magazine (love it!) where a group of women did basically the same thing, except in an artsy sort of way. The first started with a panel of underwater sea life, and each added a block to it. It was phenomenal when done--each woman put her perspective into it and it became a whole underwater scene, plus up onto the shoreline with turtles, etc. I'm pretty much game for anything, if anyone else wants to really step out of the box!

For everyone's information:

I just purchased a paperback book by Pat Sloan, titled "It's Your Turn! Round Robin Fun." It only costs $2.95 plus postage on http://www.hamiltonbook.com. It's a Leasure Arts book that sells for $24.95. They sell books at discount. All kinds, cookbooks, art, sewing, quilting, history, etc. I have been buying books from them for many years.

This particular book is not a RR where you make borders. It's called Block-by-Block or Fill-In-The-Grid. In a group of five people, the owner makes the first block on the grid to set the theme and the others each make a block to fill in the grid as it goes to each one. The blocks don't have to all be square. The blocks are pinned in place. It is sent back to the owner to finish with sashings, border or whatever. The book has the rules, etc. similiar to the other RR.

I thought this looked like fun so I wanted to pass it on if anyone is interested in the book.
