Oh my goodness, after working 5 days of 14 hours I finally got home at a decent hour last night and was going to draft out my pattern for my boarder when my anti virus program decided my EQ7 was malware and ate it. So instead of drafting I spent my night trying to get that #*^@ program to uneat my EQ program finally uninstalled everything and cleaned the computer will get a different anti virus program and reload my EQ. What was to be a 10 minute accuracy check now has gone major. Wish me luck getting off early (6pm) so will try again. I just want to make sure my pencil was right.
oh my ladies! I cant wait to see it!
carolyn...I got my fabric for Barbaras today so I should have it done by the end of the weekend.

Got one border left to sew on Dana's center and I'll be ready to send on to Thea when she is ready. Hope you are feeling better today abd were able to do some sewing. I stayed up till 2:00 and worked on a UFO. Also cut out the BOM and thought about some others I want to do. So many projects, so little time! Drat work, it is interfering with my sewing.

Well, praying and hoping everyone who lives in the blizzard's path is home, safe and sound. This would be a great time to stay home and sew (providing you don't lose power but then there's the old fashioned sewing by hand) We're suppose to get some rain here tonight about 6 p.m. so need to get out and run my errands early today. I just really want to stay home and sew but my back starts hurting the longer I sit and sew. And yes, ladies, I am only sitting and sewing for about 5-10 minutess before I get up and do something else. I'm not rushing to get anything done, except need to finish the RR and get it in the mail so can send it when Thea is ready. Also, need to get my Mailbox surprises ready to go. Now, where are my birthday cards?
Ya'll have a great day!
Thea: I am hurting so bad today but finally had some time to sit here and work on the block that I decided to design for the border I am putting on Kristie's quilt - I had a real good idea but with the stuff going on with Mom since Saturday I have not been able to do a thing. But this morning since I know she is safe in the NH and we have a plan for her recovery and she seemed yesterday to be with it and understand I felt this morning that I could take the time to work on my quilting stuff and not feel extremely guilty... so I figured out the block and then because of the special way I want to use the fabrics I had to design it all my own - so I did - figured it out in my EQ - sent a picture to Barbara and she loves it - says she will use the block so I sent it to her...teehee... It is going to be perfect Kristie... I have ice on my lower back and hip right now and as soon as I get them numb enough I will stand and cut the fabric and start sewing them together... I hopefully will get this out by early next week to Barbara so that I will be staying on schedule. I love this block though - teehee - love the fabric I chose to use too - teehee - just wish I could get out of the chair to cut into it... soon - the cold is getting in there and reducing the swelling in my lower back and hip... bad hip - bad back - shame on them for giving me grief today.

Thea- I hope you are feeling better. I'm looking forward to seeing what you are doing with my quilt- I'm sure it will be great!
Hi,
Just an observation. Do any of you quilting ladies sleep? I like to look at the times of the posts and some are after midnight, some very early in the morning. I know when I worked I did things at night and early morning, like cook and sew. Now I'm retired and like to retire my sewing when night falls. I don't put the TV on in the daytime, so sit and read and watch TV at night. I guess that's the luxury of retiring after 35 years of work.
But I don't feel sorry for you'all now (lol) because I went through it. I do feel for and admire those that continue quilting with all the sickness and hardships.
Keep on quilting!!!
Hi Linda,
You know I remember wondering why my Daddy got up so early in the morning when I was young and now I am the same way. I am up anywhere from 4:30am on but I don't normally stay up late. Every now and then I will be involved in something and manage to stay up pass 11pm but not often.
Also I will be ready to send out the next quilt on Monday, are you ready?
Pamela

I'm a late nighter--to read. Most nights taking a bath at 11pm and reading afterwards. My best time to wake up is around 7am, Sundays, earlier because we like to go to 7am mass.
Not quite ready yet. I would think by the middle of the week I'll try and mail. So if you mail on Monday, I'll be mailing by the time it gets here. But I'll post again at that time to ask if Laura's ready.
OK Linda, thanks.
Boy, am I happy now that I got this center early, worked on it and got it done. I had a nasty cold that developed into a sinus infection. Got antibiotics yesterday and wow am I tired. I'm happy that's its the weekend and no school for the kids or work for Beloved so I can be pampered a little. Kids are making pocket dessert pies from a T.V. show as I try and take a nap. I should be ready for the next center when it comes. I got a quilt back from the long arm quilter today. I must be bad if I'm not excited about it. Hope to be on my feet soon.
Linda
I worked as an RN on night shift for almost 20 yrs before I had to take disability. Now I still don't sleep well at night and it has been over 10 yrs since my last night shift. But boyo I can sleep after the sun comes up....LOL>
