Tooth bowl? Now that's a new one, meant to say toity bowl (as in toilet), but the correcto- mondo word thingy took over!
I feel for you, Debbie. I, too, have to get injections in my lower back. I could look it up I suppose, but could you tell me what the occipital nerve is and what it does to you? I am suffering from Pudendal Neuralgia--have been for 13 years now--and no doctor or specialist ever figured it out. I had to go to Gray's anatomy and research it myself. Now I have to go through some mighty painful injections which still won't cure me--hopefully I will get some relief. I'm not planning on it, though. Last injection I had put me in bed with lots more pain for nearly a week. Now that we know what is wrong with me, I have to have injections about 2 inches from my tailbone.
That's funny, Christine! At least you have some humor following your illness. Poor girl! Hey, have you ever noticed that our profile pictures put us as twins? haha I received your center a few days ago and have been happily cutting at my fabric for it. I hope you like it--I'm bringing a bit of color into it. StefiKay did a great job--I can only hope you feel the same about mine.
Oh my! My LQS is offering several classes that I've signed up for. The schedule for February and March just came out. It's feast of famine with classes and I love to see all the local ladies that also quilt. Feb 23 I start the BOM. The new Audubon's Christmas Quilt is being offered as this years BOM. Feb 24 is Libby Lehman class. Then in March I'm taking the in-the-hoop mariner's compass quilt on 2nd and 9th. The 11th is Bernina Club, 12th is open sewing day (holiday) and 30th is BOM again. March also begins MQ8 on this site! I really need to retire and just sew! Hahaha!!!! I'm loving February and March. Then April is the Paducah Quilt Festival! Oh glorious days! 😄

I just checked out that Audubon quilt online - wow, that is serious business! Can't wait to see your completed version.

the occipital nerve is in the back of your head, that bony area right behind the ear. I had major cervical spine surgery in Nov 2007 - fused together bottom four discs and fixed two vertebra just above those were I had some stenosis - spinal cord was being pinched by alignment of the vertebra. Some of my headaches come from this nerve, which is caused because the last disc, #7, did not heal properly.
that's layman's terms for what occipital nerve is and why I have the problems I do.

Wow--you do have back problems! I'm sorry to hear about your surgery and resulting pain. Pinched nerves are very painful. That's what I thought I had all this time--a pinched nerve from a cross country skiing fall. I've had 3 major falls in my adult life, causing my pudendal nerve damage. (Pudendal nerve goes across your butt and toward tailbone.) It is very difficult for me to travel or sit any length of time--but no matter how much pain--can't give up quilting!
Isn't the Audubon Quilt just gorgeous? I have signed up for it, too. I think the FMQ on it is spectacular. I know mine won't compare, but I am going to do my best. Can't wait to get started on it. I'm down to finishing quilted baby shoes and outfit, two minkie quilts, and two queen sized quilts in the works, plus the RR. I think I should slow down on adding more projects at this time! LOL
Woke up and it's snowing---they are calling for 3"-6" by tomorrow morning. :/ Puxatawny Phil is predicting early spring; I've never wanted a rodent to be so right before! I am almost finished cutting everything out for Nana's quilt. I don't have Cupcake this weekend and DH is off with the Nat'l Guard so I can get a lot of sew time in. Luckily a lot of what I am doing can be done under my electric blanket..lol I love this, I don't have to get dressed and I don't have to cook; all I have to do is keep throwing wood on the fire, watch TV and sew..weeeeeee---I'm a happy camper, can ya tell???

Fell in love with it immediately. I'm already thinking of adding some things and making it bigger! LOL gotta make it mine.
Some of you need to check your friend requests!

Your so dangled funny! Rodent! I do hope your right, but it is a great time to sew. Enjoy your quiet time, I always like it when it's raining, and nobody home. Have fun
Well, I managed to get a lot more done today on the border than I expected to .I'm really excited that my original idea is working out. :D
The Nat'l Guard let Doug come home tonight because it's snowed all day (about 4 inches) and he didn't want me to have to take care of outside dogs, pack in wood and shovel. He has to be back at the armory by 8 AM tomorrow. He has about a 30 mile drive and i don't like that but I do appreciate him coming home so I didn't have to deal with all that myself. They are calling for about 2 more inches of snow, but we are on the "snow line" so we may or may not get any more. I am hoping for not.
Well, I'm off to spend some time with DH before he goes to bed...
I got Candace's quilt top from Pat yesterday. Pat's border is so pretty. I've been wracking my brain try to think of something that will go with it. I went to a thrift shop today and found 4 big boxes of quilting, crocheting and knitting books. I got 5 books for $3.00. Candis has been encouraging me to try a new technique. Anyway, one of the books is of Seminole Patchwork borders from 1980. It is just what I have been looking. I will be trying this new technique (for me) on the next border for Candace's top. No worries though, Candace. If I can't do it correctly, I will redo it with something I can accomplish well. I hope you like it as much as I do.
