Melissa Halpain:

Well, I heard from Sue that she did not receive my center yet. Because I've been so sick, I forgot to ask my DH to send it with a tracking #. Yup, no tracking #. I am just heart broken. After all the stress and work was for nothing. I can't believe I screwed up my first Round Robin. I am so so sorry team 5. I am frantically trying to get another center finished to send off WITH A TRACKING #. Again, I am so sorry.

Melissa, please don't feel bad, it will show up. You would think since I tried to keep everyone close to where they shipped to it would be quicker.  But Barbara and Erin are right, depending on how it was shipped and the holiday.  Even if it does not show,   The worse, please it will be ok.  Your not ruining anything, everyone understands Postal issues, it's all good, and please relax and take care of your health, no stress please!

My center took 6 days to reach Nana.  It was just delivered at 4 pm today when they said Saturday. I wondered if I could just send it UPS or FED EX?  My mail goes to Missouri for sort and then to another large sort center. It took me 5 days to get Zsofia's center. Oh the perils of the US Postal Service.

Oh my Gosh! The mail service is so screwy, I thought keeping you all in close proximity would cut this shipping cost and time down.  I guess next Robin I should inquire where the Sorting areas are!!! Unbelievable.  Sorry Guys!

Haha - Candis, it's NOT your fault when the PO is slow.  These things happen.  You're doing a wonderful job as organizer, imo.

For anyone willing to pay a smidge extra, the priority mail is guaranteed to arrive within a few days.  Priority mail flat rate forever postage also has tracking included.

I'm just checking in. Patterns drafted, fabrics picked and ironed , first test block done, changed block, second draft done like it much better so will be cutting and sewing each evening after work. Planning to ship it on Jan 30.

Sorry, so I will ask you too, anything going on in your neck of the woods, anything fun or interesting, any new projects?  Talk to me girls,  I am trying to live vicariously through you all!!

:)  My life is fairly standard at the moment-  playing and chasing after my 2 1/2 year old son, taking him to music classes and playgroups and taking care of the house.  It is quite cold (been below zero the past few days) and he doesn't understand why we don't go outside to play with the sun shining. I sneak in sewing/quilting at nap time.

Quilting projects-  working on the round robin of course, finishing up my snowman blocks for the swap and putting on the frame a baby quilt my moms club sewing group created for one of our members (I don't have a longarm like you, but I do have a frame that my little Bernina sits on so I can use it like a tiny longarm. :) )

Thank you Carolyn!  I try!  Actually in the rules of the Robin on the Home page, It states for everyone to ship Priority mail. I fou d out the hard way in the 1st Robin. It doesn't cost that much more, and the package does get to where it's going faster. So if anyone is not sending Priority, please do so on the next one you send, and please try and always use tracking.     Thank you.  The flat rate priority mailers work great for the Robin.     Also Melissa no more worries, your center made it to Sue!  Yeah!!         All you north eastern s and mid westerns, stay safe in this extreme cold snap.  It's a killer out there!      Kristie, I started with my Frame and a pfaff hobby quilter, it had  a 9 in throat, I used this for years. I love the frame,.   My spouse surprised me with the LA. A few years ago on Mother's Day.  My Pfaff was good enough for me.  It was the frame I was most excited about, no more basting, and pinning, and puckers on my backing, it was hard work.   I love my frame, it got me off the floor, and turned quilting my quilt from a dreaded act, to a thing of pleasure.  Glad you have one too!

Maggie, yes you can use FedX or Ups.  As long as you can track it,   Go for it.  I also sent you a PM.    Thanks...

OK, I can breath again. Sue got my center. I am doing a happy dance. Sorry I overreacted. I had already started another center. I guess I'm a little OCD. Or a lot OCD.
