Well, I heard from Sue that she did not receive my center yet. Because I've been so sick, I forgot to ask my DH to send it with a tracking #. Yup, no tracking #. I am just heart broken. After all the stress and work was for nothing. I can't believe I screwed up my first Round Robin. I am so so sorry team 5. I am frantically trying to get another center finished to send off WITH A TRACKING #. Again, I am so sorry.

When did he send it? Since yesterday was a holiday it's slowed things up. One of our group members sent a top out 7 days ago and it's not arrived yet. I dont think there was foul play, just the loooooong holiday weekend. I hope your beautiful top arrives to Sue soon.

Melissa,if it was sent by reg mail it will take awhile to get there. You should always try to use the flat rate postage as it will get there in 3 days most times. I'd give it a few more days before I panic with the long holiday weekend it just stuck somewhere.. barbara

Here's what I've been doing in South Louisiana. Shopping!! Cooking!! Saturday morning went shopping for fabric. In the afternoon cooked chicken, smoked turkey, andouille sausage gumbo, and potato salad for our family (sons & wives and grandchildren). It was soooooo good. Yesterday being a holiday, my sister didn't work so we went shopping. Bought a bed for my spare bedroom and also a sofa for our new den. It's slowly coming together. Next comes the valances for the nine windows in that room, grandkids pictures on the walls. I also have an art quilt in mind, whenever. And I'm also working on the RR quilt. I've been a busy little bee:)

He sent it on the 16th. I totally forgot about the holiday. Thank you all for reminding me. I will give a few more days. Now I can breath a little again.

I am traveling on business this week . . . . I am in Mexico, just over the border from El Paso, TX. . . . no it's not for fun, and it's not fun . . . To make matters worse, I hate flying . . . I'm not afraid of it, it's just not fun anymore. I had a little spat with TSA at O'Hare on Monday when I had to convince them that these wires in my brain and the battery packs they're attached to are not weapons.. . . and this was after I showed them my medical clearance Id . . . I wasn't mad at TSA (they're only doing their job to protect us) but I was frustrated after being detained for 30 minutes. Anyway, I will be home on Thursday PM. I have a doctors appointment Friday morning but expect to be parked in my sewing room after that.
I have the pieced border all put together . . . I just need to sew it onto the center. Should be ready to go by Saturday.
Try to stay warm, Susie (I heard from my DH that it's sub-zero temps in the Chicago area this week. UGHHH)

Just finished Christine's center and will get the journal entry done probably tomorrow and will have it in the mail to Susan by Thursday.
I am pleased with how my border turned out, I think it really adds to the center and I hope Christine will enjoy it.
I believe Christine is going to be working on finishing Avis border when she get back from her trip this week, so I'm not expecting it for awhile.
Thats ok though because I have a top that needs quilting and my god-daughter is coming for the weekend :)

Ok Candis, I had a very boring weekend, DD and her family went to Disney World for a couple of days and I ...Woopee...got to dog sit. On top of that it was a rainy and dreary 2 days. In between runnig over to her house I spent Sat just piddleing around and reading, my first love. Then on Sunday they came home and asked me to come over and sit with the 2 yr old while they went shopping for a couple of hours,,,5 1/2 hrs later they show up full of I'm sorrys. But the bright side of that I got most of the hand work done on Brenda's center. so all's well. Now aren't you sorry you asked? LOL
Melissa, please don't feel bad, it will show up. You would think since I tried to keep everyone close to where they shipped to it would be quicker. But Barbara and Erin are right, depending on how it was shipped and the holiday. Even if it does not show, The worse, please it will be ok. Your not ruining anything, everyone understands Postal issues, it's all good, and please relax and take care of your health, no stress please!
