Hi everyone. I know several of you have gotten your center blocks from your teammates , I'm just asking how everyone is doing.? If any of you are having any problems ,please let me know by PM and I'll try and help you out . Just remember these are suppose to be fun, and since we are all at differnt levels in our skills some of the newer members may need just alittle guidance, So don't be hesitant to ask ... thanks Barbara

The weather has been so nice here so I've not been in the house much working on my team mates border. I do have the fabric and design, just haven't put scissors to fabric yet.
I'm all set to go--just can't match StefiKay's white out of my stash, and after cutting up my brown yesterday, discovered I am a couple of pieces short on that, too! Darn it--I'm so psyched to get at it, but won't be near a fabric store until Tuesday or Wednesday (they are all a minimum of 40 miles in each direction). It shouldn't put me behind, though, as I have lots of free time after I get the fabric.

I've had the grand daughter all weekend. I have my fabrics, thread, pattern...I'm ready! I want to clean up my sewing area a little (not as bad as it usually is) so I have plenty of room to work on La Shawn's center!

Barbara, you're freezing and we in South Louisiana are about ready to float into the gulf. It rained for, I think, a week; stopped yesterday and is threatening today. So yesterday I went out to search for the fabric for Pamela's center. Not too much luck. I think, though, that I would rather the rain than the 13 degrees.The older I get, the colder I get.
Having fun working on Kristie's center, have two sides done and the other two almost ready to sew on. really had to sctretch and be creative on this one, or at least for me, I did! This is fun and so hope she likes it.
Cold here today, 25 when I came home from church. DH is not feeling well and grumpy, wanting me to do everything. at least I don't have to be out in the cold but do need to fill up my gas tank, dread that. Maybe I can convince DGS to do it for me!

I have everything cut and I'm slowly, carefully putting this border together. I am so happy that I had second thoughts and went with the second idea; It is coming together beautifully. I hope that you like it as much as I do La Shawn!

I'm having a lot of fun with Round Robin. I kinda wish I'd found it before but I'm glad to be here now. Between working full time, going to school full time (PhD) and keeping up the household, I don't have a lot of time during the week to sew but when my stress level is boiling over I go hide in my sewing room for a while to relax . . . and sew!
I am excited to be working on your quilt center this week actually. I had a good time at the fabric store picking out just the right colors for your quilt. Very exciting.

Wow, I'm impressed. It was not all that long ago that I was working on my masters (biostatistics) and I never would have had time for a hobby, much less a full time job and a hobby. I did work 1/2 time though in my department. Keep up the good work! Is your phd in an it-related field?
