Ok, we have our list of 5. I am the 2nd name on the list. Who do I send to?  Am I correct that I will always send to the same person?

Maggie you send to the person under you, in your case it is Nancy Boone.  I posted all this info and more that you will need in the sign up here forum.  Please read this, and always everyone. Go back to the home page to read rules and instructions, everything should be explained for you.  This will stop every one from repeating themselves over and over.   Thank you

How should we protect the block we're sending to protect from getting dirty or damaged?

Kristen

I always place the block or the top into a ziploc bag before placing in the envelope.  I haven't had a problem using this method.

WOW!  glad I went back and reread all posts - things I wouldn't have thought of like labels, plastic bag, I'm a newbie at RRs for sure.

Got my center done, got my group list and now to write up my little journal and found a label; then get it all in the mail Thursday morning.  I'm so excited!  but haven't seen the block I'll be doing first so anxious, but patient.

Oh, Yeah  - HAPPPY NEW YEAR!!  everyone...

I agree Debbie. For us newbies it is a lot to absorb for the first time. I will reread everything from here on out because its obvious that the answers are there, I just have to find them. I'm doing several groups and get confused between them sometimes. I'll need to pay closer attention so I don't ask stupid questions.

Never, are there Stupid Questions!  I am emailed all posts to the Robin, I see them all, that way I dont have to go back and Read them on the site. I also belong to several groups, Some I frequent more than others.  I turn off the email option to the ones I can go in the forum and catch up on, but the ones I need the info from I have that option on. It will assist you to have this forum and discussions on, that way you will catch all info you really need.  I hope this helps some.   I want you to post your questions, please never hesitate, they are all important...

Don't forget to iron freezer paper to the back of the label to make it easier to write on.  Can we add a disposable camera so others can show the progress of the quilt?  I've seen people doing that before.

Ok, I'm trying to simplify my rereading of posts. Is there a way to search discussions within a group for topics? i.e. packing, label, etc

most people take pics of the center before and after they finish their border, if that is something you want, request it in your notebook you are including, At the end of the Robin everyone can email them to you, and you can then print them out. I would not enclose a disposable camera. I do ask that the last person in your group , before the quilt top is returned to the owner, to please take a photo of the top. this way if the owner can not post, or take a photo, we have a back up to post to our media.   I always take a photo of the block when received, and then another when I am finished with it.  You will write in the block makers notebook, what you have done with their block, and anything else you want to include for them..
