Omg. I think I did it! Christine
Christine, I love your Hawaiian center. <3
This is my center. It is the quilt I started for my son before his death, when he died I put it up on the shelf. He wanted a bearpaw as his name was Teddy. We picked out the fabrics together. It is now time to finish it, his first grandson was born Dec 14, 2012. I will be sending each of my group one of the fabrics he picked plus some of the background fabric. Thanks.
What a beautiful and special quilt... I am happy that it will finally be finished. It is awesome that you are sharing the fabric with your group...what an honor!

Yay Christine..you posted a pic! :D Your center is really nice, will be neat to see what your group does with it.
Very nice Christine.
Brenda, I'm so sorry for the loss of your son. I better put my thinking cap on as I get first go at your beautiful center. I hope I can do it and Teddy justice.
Christine, I'm glad you were able to post your lovely block. I've never done anything like your block so I'm going to be watching for its return pic.

Brenda, I love bear paw although I've never done one before. I'm sure your group will make it very special for you as a tribute to your son.
I took a vacation trip to Punta Gorda this last September with DH and as my birthday fell in that week, he was willing to go with me to a couple of quilt stores. This fabric is from one of the friendliest, nicest quilt stores I have been in (Sandy's Quilt Shop). Anyway, I bought several of the fabrics in the fabric line that were on the sale table (woo-hoo). So I am sending along the remaining fabric in case anyone wants to use a few bits and pieces in their borders. I have no requests as to color or patterns. Enjoy working on it as I am sure I will enjoy working on yours. Happy Sewing!

Brenda -
This will be a special quilt for you and your family. You are very brave to bring it to the group to work on. We will treat it with love. My heart goes out to you.
Lovely Jodie...is that the "Silver Maple" pattern from Easy Quilts Winter 2012? It looks similar. I Love your fabric choices.
StefiKay -
You know Stephanie - it probably is. I would have to go back and look at my copy. (I didn't want to tear it out of my magazine so I made a copy to work off of.) It certainly is from a recent magazine as I kept changing my center since i kept finding new designs I wanted to do in each new magazine I received in the mail. The one in the magazine was more of a figure 8 but I replaced the 'center indent' blocks with 2 more paper piecing blocks and left off the rest of the borders/quilt so that it would be square and withing the size guidelines. It is the first paper piecing project that I have 'successfully' done. (I tried it on Barbara's border in Round Robin 2 but failed miserably. I ended up sewing each piece individually together to make the corner mariner's stars!)
OMG! I did it! It is square, just bad angle.
Jodie and Dyen4fun - your centers are beautiful - can't wait to see both of these quilts finished up - great jobs!
