Finally finished it!!!!
Not sure why it posted so small. Will have to figure that out!!!
Maggie aka Grandma Sunshine: Thea, what fun. Is it appliqué?
Thea, what fun. Is it appliqué?
Yes, all applique'd and satin stitched in place. I truly love to do applique' . I love to piece too though but I seem to gravitate towards a quilt that has all types in one quilt.
Pretty, Barbara. I love your pattern and quilt center.

Oh Thea . . . I LOVE that. I'm a cat lover so I love the whole thing. Is that applique'd? I so much want to learn how to do applique but haven't found the right class.
Thea: This is the center for my quilt. I finished it up last night and then went to bed. I can not wait to see what the ladies do to finish this up! I only want blacks, whites and that shading of blue if possible but in the end it is their inspiration that will rule the day! Now to get my little notebook ready and get it sent... oh my... that will be the problem...teehee

Pretty design and colors!
Delena: Finally finished it!!!!
Very cool. I like it.
Carolyn : This is a work in progress, but I've been so slow about it over the holidays and wanted to go ahead and let you guys know the general idea in case you're wondering... This block was from a book. I enlarged it to triple it's original size, which makes it the appropriate size for our center block. I was going for a rain-forest-y look. Hibiscus in Hawaiian rain-forest. The bright greens are ruining it in my mind, because they draw the eye to the wrong lines. So I am in the process of switching out the bright greens for more darker, neutral greens that will blend in more. I realize that the flower blends in with the background a little and that's ok with me. I like the colors and I like the sort of "feel" it has - reminds me of a lush, vibrant rain-forest, where there is so much life all around. The fabrics are batiks. Colors are pinks, dark greens, and a bit of cream. THE BRIGHT GREENS WILL BE GONE BEFORE I SEND OUT!! I think they're all wrong. So.. .work in progress, but here's what I have so far. :)

Delena, that is very creative, I would like to see it bigger, strange it posted little, I love butterflies, and yours looks like you went above and beyond in the creative dept. I think it is beautiful.
Thea, very creative also! Love the colors chosen! Very whimsical.
Barbara, the details on your teapot block are delicious. Great job, I love your second block also. I am so glad you and Zsofia volunteered to do 2 groups. I am always here to help if either of you get overwhelmed.
Zsofia, 2 block is very unique and lovely, great job.. Can't wait to see all of these finished! Should be a great round!
Thea, that's so cute. Your group will have fun with it.
Very pretty Barbara, love the toille fabric. Looks like the Blue Delft (sp) china.
Zsofia, beautiful center. The moose threw me for a moment. LOL
Delina, I too would like to see a close up. Beautiful center.
