FINALLY got my center done.   I'm not happy with the center point . . . . the star points don't match up . . . . but I'll live with it.

For the life of me I cannot get the bulky centers to work right.  My machine kind of "eats" my projects when there's more than like four layers going under the needle.

I went out of my comfort zone on this . . . I've never put orange with purple before but now that I see them together I love it.  I don't have any "rules" or "requests" for the borders . . . something fun.  No pastels please.

Kristin, I love this, I think you did a great job, I love the colors too.  I do however have a suggestion, I would put a small border on your center maybe an inch. So the next person isn't taking a bite out of your design.   I really do love how this looks, popping right off the page!

I was just sitting here thinking about that.  I need to square it up a bit and then will figure out a border for it.

I will post a new pic when I get a border on it.

I just love all your blocks. I just finished mine and it is hideous. I'm not posting a picture of it. As I was thumbing through a quilt magazine today, I finally found a pattern that touched me. I obviously have some OCD because I can't seem to really do things well until I really get touched by something. Once I get touched, I can see a vision. Now I can't wait to get it completed.

patchworkpampam:

Ok girls my center is done!  Changed my mind several times before ending up with this funky chicken.  My DH figured out how to post the picture for me.  Looking forward to getting started.

I am really amazed with this center. What is this block called?

Zsofia:

Here is my block. I just have to appliqué the center and sew the red border on.

Kristen and Pamela very nice centers!  I want to do a wall hanging for my kitchen in Sindy R's. Funky chicken. Maybe after the round robin I will do one.
