Finally finished these great blocks. They were challenging, but that is what I needed. Hope y'all had a great time doing them. I do have a hint for those who are not done; PIN the two triangle squares to the 4 patch matching the beginning, the middle and see that the point is lined up to the line stitching on the patchwork, sew these in chains and then turn to finish the other side. Press carefully not to stretch out the pieces. Now PIN the other two sides, and repeat sewing.

These patches look great.  Thanks for the tip.  I have not made mine yet, so I can try your technique.

Caryl Anne, I love your colors - so soft.  I always chain-sew whenever I can.  Started that when I had to make dresses for three daughters who were nearly the same size.  They were a year apart  (we wanted boys for the farm! Finally got two)  so the youngest girl could wear some of the hand-me-downs, but shorts and tops for all were the same size.  Had to make clothes for at least two if not all three.  Also made clothes for the boys until they started school - then it was easier to buy jeans and corduroys for them.  By then I was working more on the farm.

I chain stitched mine too, but got distracted by the phone/dogs/tv and did one wrong anyway :( I love your colors - especially the way the darker print picks up the aqua tone on tone. It really pops!
