I don't believe any projects are really listed for this group. Anyone have any ideas?

Easy baby blankets are appreciated by Project Linus. Local reps can be found on their website. One they suggested is back any simple pattern, 9 patch, cardtrick, pinwheels: with a fleece. No batting, use walking foot to quilt. I may do this when I can get some fleece. I did one cardtrick and tied it. Local guilds often have an interest group that provides blankets for cancer hospitals, police to give out on domestic calls, or firemen to those losing homes. They aren't interested in perfect heirlooms, just thoughtful, sturdy warm.

Good evening All....

this is in response to the comment about sewing machines. This is something for you to try. I live in a metropolitan area. The sewing machine service man I use donates many machines a year to any group that will contact him. These machines have been repaired but the owners have not come to pick them up despite frequent calls and letters. I'd try the service repair folks in your area, you might get some real treasures and make a valuable friend for your group. Just a thought... Kay
